What happens

The episode, from the Duffy's Tavern series, first aired on May 19, 1948, on CBS, NBC Blue and NBC, with Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop in the lead roles. Archie's scheme involves a number of customers and his former employers from his days as a legal clerk, and the plot grows more tangled as the case gets underway.

Listen for: Archie's plan to sue Duffy over a fake accident, and his claims about his legal training.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
