What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, is visited by his old friend Slippery Maguire, a con man who arrives with a letter claiming a secret atomic experiment. Maguire says he has split an atom and needs a private backer to help put it back together. Archie is drawn in as the scheme takes shape, while Miss Duffy and Finnegan watch him with growing suspicion. Maguire introduces a visiting professor and talks of a secret back room for experiments. The series is Duffy's Tavern, and this episode originally aired on 1951-12-21 on CBS, NBC Blue and NBC, with Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop in the leading roles.
