What happens

At Duffy's Tavern, Archie and Eddie Green prepare a Christmas show while Duffy stays away. Finnegan worries that he has been told there is no Santa Claus, and he presses Archie for the truth. Archie is drawn into a sequence of Christmas acts, including a harp performance and a singing number, before a staged version of A Christmas Carol begins, with Archie playing Ebenezer Scrooge. The story follows Scrooge as he sleeps in his cold room and a visiting spirit takes him to the home of the Cratchit family to see the suffering his stinginess causes.

Characters: Archie, Eddie Green, Finnegan, Duffy, Miss Duffy, Marvin Miller, Robert Maxwell, Ebenezer Scrooge

Listen for: Archie's narration and asides, the staged Christmas Carol scene with Scrooge, and Finnegan's question about Santa Claus

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
