What happens
Duffy's Tavern regular Archie boasts to his pals that he is in love with glamorous movie star Marie McDonald, after seeing her on screen and writing her a letter that greatly overstates his wealth. Finnegan and Eddie Duffy listen to his boasts and his scheming, including plans to get the tavern's staff to make him look rich. Archie then meets Marie at the tavern, where his bluffing grows more elaborate as she takes his claims at face value. The episode is part of the Duffy's Tavern series, featuring Ed Gardner, Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
