What happens
Duffy's Tavern prepares for a fashion show featuring guest Esther Williams, a movie star who is to model a gown from designer Adrian. Eddie Duffy, a tavern owner, and his employee Archie handle the arrangements, calling a fashion magazine for publicity and recruiting models from Archie's little red address book. Miss Duffy, the tavern's proprietor, pushes to be considered for modeling herself, and Archie seeks an autograph from Esther. The evening's plans grow increasingly complicated as the staff scramble to find a suitable gown. This episode of the Duffy's Tavern series originally aired on April 26, 1946, featuring Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
