What happens
Archie, the blustering tavern manager, tries to talk his boss Duffy into financing a film about his own life story, but Duffy shows little interest. Archie's scheme grows more elaborate as he turns to his friends and relatives for money, sneaking into movies and shrugging off setbacks. Eventually he hatches a plan involving Hollywood stars, the pivot of his bluster. This episode of Duffy's Tavern, a 1946 broadcast on the CBS, NBC Blue and NBC networks, stars Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth and features Larry Storch as a guest impersonator.

Listen for: Archie's attempts to persuade Duffy to finance his life story film, and the impersonations offered by guest Larry Storch
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
