What happens
Archie runs Duffy's Tavern and welcomes guest Joan Bennett, who has just returned from England. Archie and Finnegan try to sell raffle tickets for a diamond tiara to aid needy families, with Bennett agreeing to kiss the winner. Meanwhile Eddie Duffy struggles with a shabby Christmas tree and his girlfriend Sonya's expensive tastes, while Finnegan goes door to door selling tickets and Clancy complains about the Christmas crowds. Archie, Miss Duffy and the regulars trade jokes and banter throughout the evening. This is the Duffy's Tavern series, originally broadcast on December 18, 1946, starring Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth.
