What happens
Duffy's Tavern proprietor Archie offers five hundred dollars to anyone who will marry Miss Duffy, the tavern owner's daughter. Archie and his employee Finnegan search for a suitable bachelor while Miss Duffy announces she is engaged to a man named Elmer, a farmer who arrives at the tavern. Singer Cass Daly visits the tavern as a guest and joins the conversation about the matchmaking scheme. Ed Gardner stars as Archie in this episode from the Duffy's Tavern series, originally broadcast on April 20, 1949.
