What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, decides to turn the tavern into an exclusive private club for actors, reasoning that actors are big spenders. Eddie helps him set up a game room and library while Archie hopes to recruit the actor Vincent Price as the first member. Meanwhile Duffy's pretensions and his plans for a membership committee draw more of the regulars into the scheme. This is an episode of the Duffy's Tavern radio comedy, originally broadcast on January 5, 1951, with Ed Gardner and Shirley Booth among the leads.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
