What happens
Archie, the manager of Duffy's Tavern, and Eddie, his assistant, find the bar losing money and no customers coming in. After reading a newspaper article by business expert J.C. Crabtree, Archie proposes that all local merchants cut their prices by ten percent. Archie and Finnegan try to persuade the neighbors to join the plan, while Archie also considers how to deal with the rival establishment across the street, Grogan's. Ed Gardner leads the cast, with Shirley Booth, Charlie Cantor and Florence Halop, as heard on this Duffy's Tavern broadcast from the Duffy's Tavern Singles series, originally aired on December 29, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
