What happens

Claudia and David return from a trip to find that they have nowhere to live, so they move in with Claudia's mother, Mrs. Brown. The newlyweds argue cheerfully over closet space and a missing house key while they settle into the crowded apartment. Mrs. Brown worries about the arrangement and about her own place in the household. The story follows the couple's everyday domestic adjustments and the small tensions that come with sharing a home with family. This is the episode of the Claudia series, which was based on the stories by Rose Franken and first aired on September 29, 1947.

The Brown family apartment, where Claudia and David have come to live with Claudia's mother.

Characters: Claudia, David, Mrs. Brown, Aunt Louise

Listen for: Claudia and David squabbling playfully over the closet, the key, and the crowded room, and Mrs. Brown's worry about her place in the household.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
