What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen run a Monday night comedy show full of teasing and mix-ups. Gracie is knitting a sweater for her brother Willie, who is in the army, and her letters from him bring more confusion. George appears in a new suit and spats, and the cast trades jokes about his clothes. Later George visits an art gallery and comes away with a muddled idea of painters and their famous works. Between scenes, the announcer and the cast promote Spam, and Gracie and George banter over Cobina Wright Jr. and a mink coat George sends her. The episode is broadcast from Hollywood in 1941 on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
