What happens

George Burns and Gracie Allen prepare for a visit from their radio sponsor. The sponsor's favorite cigars and hobbies are discussed, and the show's staff, including Artie Shaw and Bea Benaderet's character, add to the confusion. Gracie and the musicians press George for raises, and a visitor arrives claiming to be an actor looking for work. This episode of the Burns and Allen series first aired on December 2, 1940, on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen and George Burns in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
