What happens
George Burns comes down to breakfast at home and learns that his wife Gracie Allen and her club, the Beverly Hills Uplift Society, want to take over his radio program that evening. Their plans turn to Bill Goodwin, the show's sponsor representative, and to George himself, who is lured into the bathtub. The episode is a 1946 installment of the Burns and Allen radio series, first aired January 17, 1946, starring Gracie Allen and George Burns with Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast.

Characters: George Burns, Gracie Allen, Bill Goodwin, Meredith Willson, Madame De Silva, Clara, Blanche, Natalie Galen
Listen for: Gracie's scheme to get George into the bathtub so the club can steal his clothes, and the mix-up when the women try to reach the studio in disguise.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
