What happens
Gracie Allen and George Burns broadcast from a convention hall in Omaha, Nebraska, where Gracie is holding a convention in support of her presidential campaign. Frank Parker, Truman Bradley, Ray Noble and others from the cast join in with banter, a song and a commercial for Heinz honey and almond cream. Gracie's new friendship with the mayor, Dan Butler, leads to a mix-up over who he is and a mock press conference in which Gracie answers questions with her usual illogic. The cast's Union Pacific Band plays a number as the show carries on. The Burns and Allen show, first heard on May 15, 1940, is a comedy program on CBS and NBC radio, starring Gracie Allen and George Burns.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
