What happens
Gracie Allen, now a presidential candidate after a noisy Omaha convention, and George Burns, her husband and campaign manager, are heading toward San Francisco. An unseen visitor, Ed Pettis, warns Gracie that George is a mistake the campaign must get rid of, and she and her friends hatch a plan to convince George he is seriously ill. Frank Parker, Truman Bradley and Bea Benaderet join in the scheme, which includes a mock hospital set up in the studio. Burns and Allen was broadcast on CBS and NBC radio, and the episode features Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
