What happens
Gracie Allen returns from Washington, where she has supposedly attended a Women's National Press Club dinner, and reports on her trip to her husband George Burns and their friends on their radio program. Her rambling account of the flight, the banquet and her speech is interrupted by George and by Frank Parker, who sings, and by sponsor's messages for Hinds Honey and Almond Cream. Gracie also talks about a planned convention in Omaha and a campaign song. The series, Burns and Allen, aired on CBS and NBC Radio on March 13, 1940, with Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc in the cast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
