What happens

Gracie Allen and George Burns run a comic campaign for Gracie's presidential bid, with Ray Noble, Frank Parker and Mary Livingston joining in. The episode of Burns and Allen first aired on March 6, 1940, on CBS and NBC Radio, sponsored by Hind's Honey and Almond Cream. Gracie gives her views on her rivals, weighs where to hold her convention, and trades jokes with the cast about voting, flattery and postal work. Burns offers a running commentary on the campaign and the sponsor's product. Gracie and Burns continue to tease each other about their plans, and the cast turns the political talk into a song.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
