What happens

Gracie Allen and George Burns deal with a dented car fender that Gracie hides from George. Gracie asks her neighbour Blanche to help her keep the damage quiet, and a mechanic is arranged to fix it while George is out. George is busy with a song he is writing, and he keeps being pulled into plans for an evening out. Bill Goodwin, the Burns and Allen radio series' regular friend, joins the plans and the household's small troubles grow. This is the Burns and Allen show from February 8, 1950, with George Burns and Gracie Allen in the leading roles.

The Burns home and the neighbourhood around it, with trips by car and plans for a movie.

Listen for: Gracie's attempts to hide the dented fender from George, and George's unfinished song.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
