What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen navigate a household where Gracie, after selling their house and buying it back, insists on waiting on George hand and foot. Her devoted service leads to a series of absurd suggestions and mishaps, from breakfast excesses to a visit from neighbor Bill Goodwin and bandleader Meredith Willson. Gracie's offers to help keep escalating, and when she calls in a decorator to fix a window with blue putty, the simple job swells into talk of redecorating the entire house. The episode is a Thursday night comedy broadcast on CBS and NBC Radio on May 15, 1947, and the cast includes Gracie Allen, Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
