What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen are at home when Gracie learns that an old San Francisco friend, Hazel Kelly, is bringing her daughter Margaret to Hollywood, hoping to get her into the movies. Gracie insists George arrange a contract, and George reluctantly agrees to help. Gracie goes to see studio producer Mr. Pasternak, while Bill Goodwin and George play golf and discuss the scheme. Gracie's pitch to Pasternak is unusual, and the couple's attempts to prepare for Margaret's arrival grow more chaotic. The Burns and Allen radio series aired on CBS and NBC, and this episode was first broadcast on January 11, 1950, with George Burns and Gracie Allen in the lead roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
