What happens
From Chicago, George Burns and Gracie Allen host their show with Mayor Edward J. Kelly as a guest, during a broadcast sponsored by Hormel and Spam. George and Gracie chat about their earlier visits to the city and their trip to entertain soldiers at Fort Sheridan. Jimmy Wallington, the new announcer, joins them, and Gracie complains about a miserable train trip from Hollywood. Mayor Kelly drops in to thank them for the visit, and the two cities are compared, with Gracie and George trading playful remarks about Chicago and New York. The program is a light, rambling comedy broadcast in February 1941 on CBS and NBC Radio, with Gracie Allen and George Burns in the leading roles, along with Bea Benaderet, Meredith Willson and Mel Blanc.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
