What happens

George Burns and Gracie Allen are in New York, where Gracie happily declares her love for the city after a series of mishaps in taxis and subways. Gracie finishes the first part of a play she has written with help from a friend, and George agrees to perform it if it has nothing to do with New York. Jimmy Wallington, the announcer, joins in as the cast rehearses a western comedy that keeps getting retitled and reshaped. The episode is from the Burns and Allen series, original air date February 10, 1941, with Burns and Allen as the leads.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
