What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen deal with a lawsuit after Elsie Trellafas sues George for $200,000 over a promise to put her on the radio. Gracie tries to help George by seeking advice from a lawyer, but the situation grows more tangled as George is accused of kissing Elsie in a hallway and is also threatened by her boyfriend. Meanwhile, the couple's attempts at legal preparation keep going wrong, and George's money becomes tied up. The story is told through a series of comic exchanges and misunderstandings, with the broadcast's sponsor, Hormel's Spam, mentioned between scenes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
