What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen host their comedy program alongside singer Tony Martin, bandleader Ray Noble, and announcer John Conte. Gracie frequently derails conversations with literal-minded remarks, most notably about customs, sayings and shaking hands. Tony invites George to join a health club, and the group talks about its facilities and famous members. A telephone call brings news of a turkey won in a raffle, and a window washer interrupts the broadcast, leading to a heated exchange. Gracie then presents her plans for a mystery play, The Case of the Empty Watch, which she describes with help from the others. The program closes with a song and a commercial for Grape Nuts cereal.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
