What happens
George Burns and Gracie Allen trade quips about Gracie's uncle, who claims to sleep in a park, and about Tony Martin's new film and his fan mail. Gracie then describes a murder mystery she is writing, set in an expensive nightclub, with George, Johnny Conner and Tony cast as characters in it. The show includes a segment in which a professional screamer is auditioned, and the broadcast closes with a sponsor message for Great Nuts breakfast cereal. The series, Burns and Allen, aired on January 10, 1938, on CBS and NBC Radio.

Listen for: Gracie's description of her murder mystery play and the audition of the professional screamer.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
