What happens

Detective Danny Clover investigates the stabbing death of Harry Foster, a factory worker found murdered in his home after being stabbed in Central Park. Foster had been finding money left on a park bench every Friday for five weeks, which he dutifully reported to the police. Now Clover must piece together the mystery of who stabbed Foster and why, working through witness statements from a young boy, park visitors, and a mysterious woman who watches from a fifth-floor window.

Central Park and surrounding New York City locations, including a park bench, police headquarters, and a fifth-floor apartment overlooking the park at 80th and Fifth Avenue.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
