What happens

Dan Holiday answers a mysterious ad offering $500 to register at a hotel as John Johnson and wait for instructions. He's drawn into a scheme involving a stolen diamond necklace, a desperate woman with a gun, and a private detective agency running a con. As Holiday investigates, he uncovers a web of lies masking a simpler truth about gambling debts and marital fear.
