What happens
Dan Holiday receives a letter from Jerry Fuller, a small-town boy who has lost two days of his life in the city and fears returning home. Dan investigates Jerry's mysterious blackout at the Red Swan nightclub, discovering the young man was accompanied by an unknown woman who checked him into a shabby rooming house as his wife. As Dan begins to unravel the mystery, a violent stranger emerges from Dan's own apartment, and Jerry arrives beaten and terrified.
A big city with the Red Swan nightclub, a cheap rooming house on East Central Street, Dan Holiday's apartment building, and Union Station depot.
Characters: Dan Holiday, Jerry Fuller, Susie, The landlord, Kitty, Jerry's landlord
Listen for: The mysterious flash of light Jerry remembers from the Red Swan, the identity of the woman who accompanied him, and why a stranger was in Dan's apartment.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
