What happens
During a televised civic forum broadcast, council member Baxter dies suddenly on camera, apparently poisoned. Inspector Faraday suspects Boston Blackie, who was present at the event, but Blackie learns from Baxter's secretary that the dead man was about to expose city councilman Ralph Thomas for illegally farming out municipal contracts. Blackie sets out to confront Thomas before Faraday does, suspecting the poisoning may have been orchestrated at a dinner held at Thomas's house earlier that evening.
A television studio broadcasting a civic forum, and various locations around the city including Thomas's home and bowling alley.
Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Faraday, Mary Wesley, Baxter, Ralph Thomas, Rex Daniels, Mr. Waters, Charlie Kingston
Listen for: The intriguing premise of a murder committed live on television, and Blackie's race against Faraday to uncover the truth about Thomas's corruption.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
