Boston Blackie agrees to serve as a technical advisor on a movie studio's safe-cracking scene. While watching the filming, an actress named Gladys Ronson is found dead inside a prop trunk during shooting, and Blackie must help Inspector Faraday unravel the mysterious circumstances of her death.
A movie studio during the filming of a motion picture, including the sound stage and police laboratory.
Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Faraday, Mr. Smith, Miss Westin, Mary, Gladys Ronson, Jack Winters, Johnson
Listen for: The puzzle of how Gladys Ronson was killed inside a locked trunk with no bullet hole and no gun fired from inside or outside of it.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
