What happens

Boston Blackie takes in a terrified maid named Madeline Burns who claims to have seen a ghost at the Worthington mansion. After calming her down at his apartment with help from nurse Mary Wesley, Blackie and his partner Shorty visit the mansion to investigate, where they find Mrs. Worthington, a former concert pianist, who dismisses Madeline's claims as hysteria. When Blackie returns to his apartment, he discovers that Madeline has died under mysterious circumstances while in his care.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
