What happens

Boston Blackie learns from Sergeant Matthews that the Murdock Gang has reorganized and is planning something major. Deputy Inspector Wells, ambitious to take over Inspector Faraday's job while Faraday is on vacation, attempts to keep Blackie away from the case and even has a man sent to forcibly remove him from headquarters. Blackie discovers the gang is targeting a diamond company safe containing half a million dollars in jewels and plans to murder the company owner, Henry Carson, making it look like suicide.
