What happens

Boston Blackie is arrested when blood-stained coat bearing his label is found, connecting him to the murder of Andrew Lawrence, caretaker of the Devon estate. Blackie escapes and investigates, discovering the hat check girl who switched the coat labels has been killed, forcing him to seek answers at the Devon estate itself.
