What happens
Boston Blackie investigates the murder of Mayor Rogers, who is shot from a rooftop across from City Hall. Blackie quickly deduces the shots came from the building next door, but the real puzzle is why the mayor was the target—or was he merely in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Boston, at and around City Hall, the rooftops and offices of nearby buildings, and Harry Johnson's home
Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Faraday, Mary, Officer Williams, Harry Johnson, Mrs. Johnson, Rex Martin, Carter
Listen for: Blackie's method of deduction as he pieces together clues from the crime scene; the revelation of who really wanted to kill whom and why
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
