What happens
Harry Walker is murdered in the street, and Inspector Farady brings the case to Boston Blackie for help. With a murder gun traced to a stolen firearm and only a vague description of the killer—a large man with a crooked nose—the investigation widens as Walker's frightened wife goes into hiding after witnessing something she shouldn't have.
The city streets and Blackie's apartment; also a drugstore phone booth where Mrs. Walker makes a desperate call to her brother.
Characters: Boston Blackie, Inspector Farady, Mary Wesley, Harry Walker, Mrs. Walker (Roger's sister), Roger, Jim Delaney, Sergeant Matthews
Listen for: The clues pointing to Killer Carson, a former heavyweight fighter; Mrs. Walker's terrified phone call revealing she witnessed something; the murder weapon's stolen registration leading nowhere obvious.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
