When a man named Henry Gordon is found dead in a vacant lot next to Carl Grady's golf studio, Boston Blackie investigates and discovers bloodstains in the studio, suggesting Gordon was killed there. Grady becomes the prime suspect, but the real killer turns out to be John Benson, a racketeer running a college football betting scheme, who murdered Gordon out of jealousy over Benson's wife Harriet taking golf lessons from Grady.
The city, including Carl Grady's golf studio, police headquarters, Benson's office, and a train.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
