What happens

Boston Blackie is blackmailed by gangster Buckley, who threatens to frame Mary Wesley for a hit-and-run death unless Blackie keeps police away from his operations. When Mary's car struck a man on a foggy country road while parked in a town garage, Buckley uses the dead man to set up the frame. Blackie must prove someone else was driving the car and uncover Buckley's real scheme before Mary goes to prison.

A city and surrounding countryside, including Buckley's gang hideout, a police station, a dry cleaning shop, and a country house near Watertown.

Characters: Boston Blackie, Mary Wesley, Buckley, Inspector Faraday, Harry, Sergeant Wells, Martha Dale, Adams

Listen for: The clever clue of medicinal spots on clothing that exposes who actually drove Mary's car, and Blackie's quick thinking to trap Buckley and his gang.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
