What happens
Boston Blackie is warned by Carol Williams that Fred Olin, just released from prison, intends to kill him as revenge for sending him to jail. When Blackie learns that Fred has been murdered at a hotel, Inspector Faraday suspects Blackie of the crime. As Blackie investigates, he discovers that multiple people—including Fred's brother John, Fred's business associate Bill Andrews, and Carol Williams herself—had motives and opportunity to kill Fred.
