What happens

Boston Blackie breaks into Langley Penitentiary to warn young Kevin Brennan that he is being framed for murder, but before Blackie can speak with him, fellow inmate Mattie Ennis is found stabbed to death. Suspicion falls on both Blackie and Kevin, forcing Blackie to remain in the prison and investigate the true killer while Kevin remains unaware of the frame-up.

Langley Penitentiary, and Inspector Faraday's office

Characters: Boston Blackie, Kevin Brennan, Joe Atherton, Mattie Ennis, Inspector Faraday, Warden Ross, Mary Wesley, John Brennan

Listen for: Blackie's clever use of a prison baseball game to provoke a confession from the real killer, and the banter between Blackie and Inspector Faraday about why Blackie broke into prison in the first place.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
