What happens

When Paul Martin mysteriously disappears from a rooftop where he's waiting with his girlfriend Marge and two criminal associates, Whitey and Gabel Conant, Boston Blackie is called in to investigate. Blackie quickly deduces that Paul staged an elaborate vanishing act using a rope to impress his reluctant girlfriend, but the truth proves far darker when Paul is found dead with five bullets in him.
