What happens

Slade Shannon, a bar owner in Havana, is drawn into a smuggling scheme when a girl named Dolores brings him a sealed envelope. Captain Vic and his associates want the bill of lading inside, and a murder in a house on the Havana waterfront raises the stakes. Slade and Dolores find themselves pursued through the city's bars and back alleys. Bold Venture is the series name, and this episode presents its story of opium smugglers and a young girl in the Caribbean setting of Havana.

Havana, Cuba, including Shannon's bar, the waterfront, the barrio, and a steamship in Havana Harbor

Listen for: The bill of lading in the envelope and Slade's plan to switch it

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
