The Radioactive Gold Matter

How long has Johnny Dollar? It's for the airport. Well, 30 minutes have I finished breakfast and 10 if I don't. They don't give me something on the plane. Where am I going? No. Hey, Sergeant.

We were right. Radio active. Whoever stole it is carrying potential. Well, I guess the air line's the head. Prince O'Conf's admitted by special investigator Johnny Dollar to Home Office, Princey and Insurance Company, Hartford, Connecticut.

The following is an accounting of expenditures during my investigation of the Radioactive Goals matter. Expensive on item 152 dollars and 75 cents airfare and incidentals between Hartford and South Bend, Indiana. Expensive on item two, $1.40, cabs there after Washington was first charged with it.

Dr. Reed Mckinlock was in charge of the radiological laboratory. It's impossible to overemphasize the seriousness of the situation, Mr. Dollar. An extremely lethal weapon is loose somewhere in the city of South Bend. Well, you mind explaining what this gold is, Dr. And why it's so deadly?

It's what we call a radioactive isotope. That means the gold's been exposed to an atomic pile, although it becomes highly radioactive. We use it here as well as a number of other isotopes in the treatment of certain malignancies.

What form does it come in, doctor? Both gold leaves and needles, depending on whether we wish to employ solutions or a direct injection. All kind of protection to your hair against its radioactivity when it's not used.

For all our isotopes are kept in small glass vials, which are in turn kept in small lead boxes. When not in active use, we place them in a lead bolt in our laboratory. And the other I suppose missing?
