Adventurers Club ep15 The Treasure Hunt

World Adventurers Club meets once more. You're invited to listen in on another Strange Tale related by one of the club's members, an experience that can find no parallel except in the lives of these brave Adventurers' men.

Here we are in the comfortable lounge of the World Adventurers Club. I am pleased to announce that I have persuaded a famous sea captain to tell one of his strange adventures on the high seas, introducing Captain Hockness, one time skipper of the

Lady Jane. I had a staunch of four masted wind jammers ever sailed to seven seas. I was that little. Glad you're elected Captain. Have a seat. What sort of a yarn do you want me to spin?

Ever go on a treasure hunt, Captain? I, that I did once. I got something out of it whether the other fella did or not. Yes, that's it. All right, Captain. Tell us about the treasure hunt.

Well, it happened in 1998. We were just off the sandwich island when there comes a regular howler of a typhoon. Long about six bells, the worst of the storm is over. Though she's still glowing hard and the sea is rough.

Look out on top side, suddenly calls out that there's wreckage off the starboard. We stand by, look for survivors. And sure enough, we see a lone sailor hanging onto a spar. I'll horse a boat and send some men to fetch the lover.

And they bring him on board the lady Jane. Here's your life horse. Lemon skipper but hurt bad. I bled it. Now fetch whiskey and hot water and blankets and shake a leg. Here's our skipper, here's me plan.
