Why are you folks? Hold on to your hats, because here comes another Rooten-Tooten Wild Bill Hickok adventure, starring Guy Madison as Wild Bill, and Andy Devine as his pal Jingle. You'll hear the exciting story, Wagon Train for Tombstone, right after this message.
In the days before the railroads, huge freight wagon trains supplied the towns of the frontier. United States Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his big deputy jingles often had to protect these wagon trains, but seldom did they find this assignment as dangerous as when they guarded the wagon train for Tombstone.
Now there'll be starting any minute now. That's good, Jingle. I'd like to get as far along the trail as we can the first day. Yeah, it's going to be a long trip. All the way to Tombstone, Arizona.
Yeah, and a lot of things can happen before we get there. Now don't say that, Bill. Just about anything that can happen is bound to be trouble, and I don't like trouble. Well, that's what we're going along for, Jingle, to see that trouble doesn't happen.
Well, here comes Captain Wilson. Hey, Bill, he looks a little worried. Well, he's in command of the whole train, Jingle. That's a big responsibility. Jingle. Howdy, Captain. Well, all ready to roll, huh? I think so.
Don't mind saying I'm be glad with the whole kitten caboodle is levered and toon stuff. No, there ain't nothing to worry about, Captain. Bill and I ain't worried are we, Bill. Are we? Not too much, Jingle.
We've been on these pips before. Sure, we fought off Indian swam ravers, cured sick mules, fixed busting wagons. We'll get you through. Oh, we'll have our share of those things. We're used to them. This time we've got something else to watch out for.
