It's 10 in the evening in the Riley household and all is by no means well. In fact, a crisis is developing. Junior has not come home yet and his whereabouts are unknown. His anxious father is bringing the full weight of his keen analytical mind to bear on the problem.
Where is that boy? That's what I want to know. Where is he? Well, how should I know? I knew I wouldn't sit here worrying. after ten o'clock at a kid only thirteen years old maybe he's studying at a friend's house somewhere studying more likely shooting crap on some street corner junior doesn't gamble
or then he's probably sitting on some little girls front porch neck and light crazy he's not interested in girls but i know boy wouldn't be surprised right this minute of he and his gang of whistling their heads off in the front row of a burlesque show That's ridiculous. He'd never go to a burlesque show.
What a dull life that kid leads. Well, instead of standing here, go out and look for him. Oh, yeah. Well, I'll start with the burlesque show. Where's the opera glasses, Kate? Try someplace else first. I don't want to have to go looking for you.
Well, if I find you in there, so help me. Hi, Mom. Hi, Pop. Sorry I'm a little late. A little. Do you know what time it is? Where were you, Junior? Oh, boy, you should have been there, Pop.
I was way up in front and I saw everything. Boy, was it at Scarce here? The junior! Don't you dare talk like that in front of your mother. What's wrong, Pop? I was only watching the fire.
…
Pop was? I didn't know that one. Back in Brooklyn. First year we were married. Oh, it's quite a story. We were still living with Grandpa, my father, and your daddy had just graduated from the Fireman's Academy.
I remember the 90s came home all the time. Here I am, Chester. Oh, here I am, Chester. Piggie, I passed. I passed. Oh, Chester, that's wonderful. Yeah, I report for active duty tomorrow. Oh, Chester, I never thought I'd be married to a real fireman.
Oh, yeah. Sit down and tell me all about your test here in Papa's chair. Oh, yeah. Well, first, oh. Well, I had a little accident during the test. You know the part where they give you 10 seconds to slide down the pole?
