Before our story, here's an important announcement. Folks, when you go shopping this week, think of the service men first. Here's why. Their Christmas packages must be mailed between September 15th and October 15th, and preferably before the end of September. So you'd better get after those gift lists right now.

Then you'll be sure that your Christmas packages will arrive on time. Here are the important things to remember. Every Christmas package going overseas should be addressed completely, clearly, and legibly, and plainly marked Christmas gift parcel.

If possible, the address should be printed in waterproof ink. Also, enclose a complete address and return address inside your packages to help the armed services make delivery if the outside wrapping should become soiled or torn.
