Maynard Kenton, State's prosecuting attorney, smiled grimly to himself as he drove his heavy car along the boulevard toward the residential section of the city one evening. He gave him a feeling of great satisfaction to know that at last he had succeeded in obtaining definite evidence against the notorious Chuck Lewis in his gang.
Evidence in the form of a written confession signed by one of the weaker members of the Lewis Gang, who'd been picked up on a minor charge the night before.
