Runyon 4x-xx-xx ep46 A Light in France

The Damon Runyon Theatre. Once again, the Damon Runyon Theatre brings you another story by the master storyteller, Damon Runyon, and this one, of Light and Friends. And to tell it to you, there is Broadway.

Thanks. It is of a mid-summer evening not so long ago that I am sitting in Mindy's waiting for my order of potato pancakes and sour cream when I feel a tap on my shoulder. Now I am certainly not expecting gendams because I am a law-abiding citizen, So I look up without a care in the world.

And then I wish to leave, and leave fast. I am not able to say a word to the citizen who does the tapen, because how does this one open a conversation with a ghost if one meets one in Mindy's?

I sit there with my mouth open, and the ghost sits down and says, You're mouth is wide open, Broadway. Worry, go away, you are dead. You will not like the food here anymore. Do I look like I am dead?

I will not argue the point. I will leave. I said, down. Take it easy. Never again. Look, Broadway. Fench me. Definitely not. Less than ten. I have nothing to listen to except the sound of my steps going away fast. If I am able to move.

I am not dead. This is a long time ago. They find what is left of you in a ditch over in Jersey. There is quick climb in the ditch and your shoes which are identified.

The jendom says it is you and that is good enough for me. Now I order some potato pancakes. When they arrive, enjoy them. Give my regards to everybody who is dead. When you listen to me, I am not dead.
