3x-xx-xx ep008 Where Is Swanee River

Where is Swani River? In 1826 a child was born who was destined to give the world some of its most beloved melodies. Stephen Collins Foster, like many a composer, had a life of ups and downs, sometimes prospering, sometimes starving.

During one of his happier periods, he lived with his brother Morrison in Cincinnati, Ohio. While there, he wrote many of his most famous songs. In his brother's father, in the foster home in Cincinnati, Stephen Foster is visually at work on a new melody for the Kristy Minstowes.
